EDM Adds Altium Designer to Engineering Toolbox

Electronic Design and Manufacturing of Omaha, Nebraska is excited to announce the addition of Altium Designer to our Engineering software. Altium Designer is a powerful product design tool allowing EDM to use a single solution to develop hardware, programmable hardware and software. This upgrade allows the engineering staff access to the latest PCB design tools in a 2D and a 3D product development environment.

EDM Expands AOI Capability With Two MV-3 RRS

Electronic Design and Manufacturing of Omaha, Nebraska is excited to announce the addition of two MV-3-RRS Remote Repair Systems to increase production quality, efficiency and throughput. The expansion of the two Remote Repair Systems with triple the Mitrec MVL-3 AOI machines capabilities.

EDM Joins IPC

Electronic Design and Manufacturing of Omaha, Nebraska is proud to announce our full membership in IPC. IPC is a member-driven organization and leading source for industry standards, training, market research and public policy advocacy, IPC supports programs to meet the needs of an estimated $1.7 trillion global electronics industry. IPC represents over 2700 members of the electronics manufacturing industry, from design, PCB manufacturing and electronics assembly. EDM’s membership in this organization allows EDM access to the latest global standards, increased access to training and new technologies, and access to committees who are developing standards and solving industry problems.

EDM Adds Sniper III BGA Repair Station

The Sniper III is the latest in BGA and Micro BGA Rework system design. With On-Board control and powerful computer profile generation, including data logging. The system also includes a Thermalcouple Bank to develop the rework profile and monitor the component, board and environment. A 17″ monitor reflects the image of the bottom of the chip and the footprint on the board, these images are then adjusted to exactly overlay each other and the component placed automatically. APE will be performing the installation and training on June 23, 2010.
